- [Catalog Import - Starting Guide](https://help.eddy.app/docs/catalog-import-starting-guide.md): Welcome to the second step of your journey. So far, you have configured your basic settings and are now ready to import your catalog (digital, physical, merch, YouTube).

This is a mandatory step that must be completed prior to creating contracts.

Depending on your deal and how YouTube income is reported to you, this step is not always needed. There are two use cases where it is necessary for you to import YouTube content into your eddy.app Catalog:

Your YouTube videos are assigned unique ISRCs (i.e. video sales are not associated with the same ISRC as track sales in your reports). Instructions can be found in the first section of this article.

You have a direct deal with YouTube (and have access to the YouTube CMS). Instructions can be found in the second section of this article.

In a nutshell, this feature allows you to deduct a royalty percentage from what we would consider a main artist contract, and allocate that percentage to a secondary contract (i.e. featured artist/producer/remixer contract), effectively splitting the revenue for a specific track or release.

This feature allows you to import revenue that has not been reported by your distributor into eddy.app. For example, you have a large volume of direct sales that you need to include in your payees' statements. Simply fill in our Bulk Sales template with the appropriate sales data and upload it to eddy.app.

Reserves are configured in contracts and will be applied to sales associated with the physical content linked to them. The reserve is automatically liquidated after the specified period has been reached.
