        This is the very first step to complete! Once all the mandatory data has been added in the Settings section, you will be ready to upload your catalog. Remember that this information needs to be filled out before you can start importing your catalog and creating your contracts.

        Secure Your Account!

        Before you do anything else, secure your account by enabling Two-factor Authentication (or 2FA):

        1. Go to Account > Two-factor authentication

        2. Choose whether you want to use only a secondary email or an authenticator app on your phone too.

        Secondary email is needed for authenticator app

        You won't be able to enable an authenticator app without setting up at least a secondary email.

        Add Tax Deductions

        You can configure taxes to be deducted from the gross payee amount (i.e. after cost/advance recoupment). You can apply taxes based on countries or on specific payees.

        If you're applying taxes based on countries, you can also scope deductions by payee type: individual or company.

        Country-based taxes

        Country-specific taxes will be based on the country selected when creating the payee.

        Add Geozones

        Geozones are used to classify sales that aren't linked to a specific territory or a group of countries.
        To do this:

        1. Click the add new geozone button.

        2. Give your geozone a name (e.g. Worldwide, Unknown, Europe, North America, etc.)

        3. Specify at least one identifier, then hit enter to save the identifier.

        Useful Tip

        If you use the same identifier as in your sales reports, this will automatically match sales to the appropriate geozone without creating a matching error.

        Warning

        Do not use the ISO Alpha-2 country codes.

        Add Royalty Sources

        Although you've already added your royalty sources when creating your eddy.app account, new sources can be added to your account at any time.

        Missing royalty source or template

        If your distributor isn't listed among our available royalty sources, don't worry! You can create a custom template using the template builder. Just add the source and follow the instructions to create your template. Note: Templates can be created within existing system "sources".
